Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is one of the most popular anime and manga series right now. Since its release in 2016, the manga has gained a lot of fans. so it makes sense that Ufotable adapted it into an anime. But no one expected it would become one of the most celebrated anime series ever.

The story follows a world where an organization called Demon Slayers tries to rid the world of all evil demons. Our main protagonist is Tanjiro Kamado, a boy whose whole family, except for his little sister Nezuko, was killed by these demons.

Tanjiro Kamado

How Tall is Tanjiro

It’s not really clear how tall Kanjiro is in the first two episodes of the first season (which take place a few years before the events in the rest of the anime). After that, it’s rumored that Tanjiro’s height is about 5’5” (165.1cm).

Despite being a short kid, he shows a lot of potential and determination to one day become the strongest Demon Slayer. As of now, he has stood his ground against some challenging enemies and is on the path to making his dream come true.

Nezuko Kamado

Nezuko is 5 feet tall (152.4 cm). This comes as no surprise since she is one year younger than her brother Tanjiro, who carries her in a wooden cask on his back.

This is a normal height for a 12-year-old child, but as the story progresses, she doesn’t physically age due to her demon powers. While this height might not be a problem for a regular child, in the Demon Slayer world, it may come at a disadvantage. So, Nezuko will have to master her powers in order to protect herself and the ones she loves.

Zenitsu Agatsuma

Despite being one year older than his friend, Tanjiro, Zenitsu stands at the same height of 5’5” (165.1 cm).

Zenitsu may sometimes appear shorter than he actually is due to the fact that he is a very cowardly boy. On the other hand, Tanjiro is the complete opposite. Because of his confidence, he appears much taller.

Inosuke Hashibira

While he may look taller because of his wild boar mask, Inosuke is as tall as his friends Tanjiro and Zenitsu (5’5” or 165.1 cm).

Inosuke has a very interesting backstory. He was left alone when he was a child and was raised by wild boars. These conditions allowed him to develop into a very strong boy with a great sense of smell.

Kanao Tsuyuri

Kanao is two years older than Nezuko but isn’t much taller than her. She is just 5’1” (154.9 cm) tall, but she is one of the strongest members of the Demon Slayers Corp.

She is a very smart young lady, but she’s also timid, so she doesn’t often show her true potential. However, same as Inosuke, she gets more comfortable around her friends as the story progresses.

Genya Shinazugawa

Genya is the younger Shinazugawa brother, but he is the taller one. He stands at 5’11” (180.3 cm) which makes him one of the tallest teen characters in the series.

His height matches his hot-tempered personality, which often intimidates those around him. While his character softens up a bit through the series, his height is still something many of the characters are afraid of.

Sanemi Shinazugawa

Sanemi is five years older than his brother Genya, but he is one inch shorter, standing at 5’10” (177.8 cm).

Sanemi is an aggressive person, and his personality matches his status as the Wind Hashira. He and Genya are not close because Sanemi killed their mother—something he did in order to protect himself and his little brother.

Giyu Tomioka

At the start of the show, in the scene where he fights Tanjiro, Giyu Tomioka is 19 years old and is 5’9” (175.3 cm). After this episode, he takes a little hiatus before appearing again in episode 15 as a 21-year-old (his height remained the same).

Giyu is older and taller than Tanjiro, which makes him look more intimidating and authoritative. However, when he is around people he likes, he is a caring man with a soft personality.

Shinobu Kocho

How Tall is Shinobu?

Shinobu is one of the shortest characters in the series. She is just 4’11” (149.9 cm). She may look like a cute, calm, and harmless person, but when enemies are around, Shinobu is a fierce warrior. She is certainly a demon slayer to be afraid of.

Tengen Uzui

TengeUzui is a member of the Hashira, which is a group of the most powerful demon slayers. He is an easygoing individual known for his unique fighting style, which involves using his Breath of Water technique and his kusarigama.

Measuring 6’6” (198.1 cm), Tengen Uzui is one of the tallest and most intimidating characters in the series. This height brings comfort and reassurance to others, as he would do anything to protect the ones he loves.

Mitsuir Kanroji

Mitsuir Kanroji is the Love Hashira, a character whose appearance is always welcome. Kanroji is 5’6” (167.6 cm) and has beautiful pink and green hair that goes very well with her charming green eyes.

Up until now, she has rarely appeared in the anime, but that’s all going to change as Mitsuir is one of the main characters of Demon Slayer season 3. This season will show us the Swordsmith Village arc, where she and the Mist Hashira are going to lead Tanjiro in his friends on another epic journey.

Obanai Iguro

While his title, the Serpent Hashira, may sound scary, Obanai Iguro is a short man with a height of just 5’4” (162.6 cm).

We haven’t seen much of this character yet, but considering that he is a Hashira, we can only expect great things to come.

Senjuro Rengoku

At the beginning of the story, Senjuro Rengoku is a twelve-year-old boy who is just 5’1” (154.9 cm).

He comes from a family of powerful Flaming Hashiras who put pressure on him to become the most powerful of them all—something he fails to do despite constantly giving his all.

Muichiro Tokito

Muichiro Tokito is the same age as Nezuko, and he is 5’3” (160 cm). Unlike Nezuko who has a lot of positive feelings about others, Tokito is very aloof and distant.

As the Mist Hashira, Tokito should lead and teach other demon slayers, but his social skills are not his best trait. This isn’t a fault of his personality though. It’s caused by his bad memory.

An interesting (and sad) fact is that his memory loss was caused by a catastrophic event in his past that made him totally forget how to show his emotions.

Gyumei Himejima

Gyumei Himejama is 7’2” (218.4 cm), which makes him the tallest character in Demon Slayer.

He is a character we don’t know much about. According to the information from the manga and the anime, we’ve learned that he is a very strong demon slayer and that he is the Stone Hashira.

Kyojuro Rengoku

Kyojuro is Senjuro’s older, and he is troubled by the same expectations of his Flaming Hashira family, particularly his father.

Kyojuro Rengoku stands at 5’10” (177.8 cm), and he is one of the taller male characters in the series.

He is one of the most positive characters in the show. His personality provides a much-needed change of pace in a series full of characters with sad stories.

Sabito was a person who had a lot of influence on Tanjiro. He made him work very hard and helped him take his skills and powers to the next level.

Sadly, Sabito died when he faced the Hand Demon, leaving the fans without a chance of determining his height.

Muzan Kibutsuji

We’ve rarely seen Muzan Kibutsuji on the show, but even with his little screen time, it has become clear that Muzan is the main villain in Demon Slayer

Muzan is a 5’10” (177.8 cm) tall demon who is willing to kill even his own people in order to accomplish his goals. While he is not the tallest, he is one of the most intimidating, scary, and evil characters in the show.

The demon slayers have not yet faced him in the show, but it’s clear that when that time comes, it’s going to be an epic and very emotional battle, especially for Nezuko and Tanjiro.

Tamayo gave the impression of being a caring and fearless demon when we met her in the first season. She is ready to help the good guys and defeat the bad ones.

She is a demon who confronted and escaped Muzan in order to focus her abilities on becoming a doctor. She is a close friend of the Kamado siblings.

The fans’ guess is that Tamayo is approximately 4’11” (149.9 cm).

Yushiro Yamamoto

Yushiro is a unique demon due to the fact that he was made by Tamayo and not Muzan. Fans suspect that this is why he isn’t as tall as the other demons. With his height of 5’2” (157.5 cm),  he is one of the shortest demons in the series.

While he may not be the strongest demon around, Yushiro was brave enough to confront Muzan and prevent him from changing into his demon form. Although, he did have some help from the demon slayers. Unlike the other demons, Yushiro is not under Muzan’s control.

Like his creator Tamayo, Yushiro is a demon who is trying to do good and survive without harming humans.

Aoi Kazaki

Aoi is one of the weakest demon slayers. Because of her height of 5’4” (162.6 cm) and her lack of skill, she decides not to fight demons but instead be a valuable member by working at the Butterfly Mansion.

Akaza is one of the most hated villains in the show. He appeared in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba The Movie: Mugen Train. He was the demon who killed Kyojuro Rengoku in a fight that left every fan feeling gutted and angry. Akaza was 5’8” (172.7 cm).

Daki spends most of her time in demon form, which is known to alter the way a person looks. This makes it a bit difficult to tell her height. Judging by her appearance, the fans think that she is taller than Tanjro but shorter than Muzan, making her around 5’7” (170.2 cm).

With her enormous need to prove herself to Muzan and earn his respect, Daki becomes one of the main villains in the second season of Demon Slayer

Daki’s brother, Gyutaro is another character who only appears in his demon form, making it hard to guess his height. According to the fans, he is as tall as Muzan, standing at 5’10” (177.8 cm).

Gyutaro is one of the most frightful demons in the show. He has a vicious personality and displays no likable qualities whatsoever.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki

Ubuyashiki is the leader of the Demon Slayers. He is a very powerful person who has the ability to see the future and make predictions.

He hasn’t had much screen time in the show and has never been in the company of a known character for long. Because of this, fans haven’t been able to get a clear estimation of his height.

Sakoji Urokodaki

Sakoji Urokodaki is a demon slayer veteran and one of the people that helped Tanjiro the most. He is 5’8” (172.7 cm).

In the past, Sakoji was a Water Hashira, a title he handed down to Giyu. However, he is still teaching breathing techniques to the demon slayers, including Tanjiro, making him a useful (ex) member of the organization.
